Refurbishment and conversion, and subsequent major extension of the historic Mowbray Hotel building on the corner of Rhodes Avenues and Main Road into a new headquarters for a progressively creative advertising agency.

T he initial challenge was to combine two discrepant buildings into one secure entity, and subsequently to extend these into a third building that maintained high trade security at all times. Modern alternatives were considered, but the clients preferred us to work within a traditional language that related to and embellished the historic complex. In the process the site was developed to its maximum zoning potential.
