T he new gatehouse monitors all access to this exclusive precinct and is centrally situated midway between the incoming and outgoing vehicular lanes. It was therefore conceived and a small patrol ship anchored in the center of the two-way movement stream, complete with prow, mast and bridge. Its hovering roof is supported on splaying sprockets with specially engineered knuckles, and the face-brick finish was selected to reflect traditional industrial building.
The requirement was for a brand new factory to assemble the imported motor components in the most stringent temperature-controlled and dust-free environment, with all building standards equal to those of their then most recent installation in Hollola, Finland. The result is a complex that would seem as at home on an up-market university campus as in an industrial park.
